We stayed in this recently renovated manor house for our annual family reunion and cannot recommend it enough! Was a 5 star luxury experience for all our family members! The house is perfect for bigger groups or several families sharing as it has 6 very spacious independent en-suite bedrooms, a professionally equipped kitchen, beautifully decorated interior, a big garden and lots of outdoor spaces (pool, jacuzzi, tennis court and outdoor braai area with a pizza oven!!). It is surrounded by breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and located on a working farm with farm animals and almond trees for an authentic Karoo experience.

What an amazing house to escape to for a gloriously relaxing holiday. The setting is a real treat for the eyes, with views stretching across the adjacent dam, over the farm’s almond groves and looking across the imposing red rocks of the valley. Mulberry House itself is beautifully appointed, with incredible attention to style and detail. Everything in the house is high quality: from the high thread count linen, the large, soft bath towels, to the Brabantia pots in the kitchen. The kitchen and living area, which flows through to the outside braai and covered verandah, is designed for easy self-catering. A very large scullery, with a dishwasher and washing machine, was handy for keeping things neat and tidy. The outside loungers and dining space were very comfortable and elegant and we enjoyed the hot tub which doubled as a splash pool in the day. We loved this house and can’t wait to return.

Top of the range appliances. Very comfortable sheets, nice shower and a hot tub. We loved all the extra touches and the host was very welcoming with good communication.

Almond Valley Manor & Cottages is probably one of the most beautiful places to stay in the area. It has everything you need and more. I had a wonderful stay.

Stayed in one of the cottages. Very private, stylishly furnished with top quality beds, linen and towels. Most beautiful view over the valley and with stargazing at night from the veranda or from the hot tub. Quiet dirt road in front of the cottage, ideal for cycling or jogging. Received us kindly and made sure we were comfortable during our stay.
